Stress
Stress | Serenity
In our modern age, we seem to be working longer and more intense hours. This may be at school in your studies or in your career. Many young adults are striving for growth in their careers while sacrificing self-care. Anxiety is a common symptom for those who are living a stressful day-to-day life and forgoing quality sleep, nourishing meals and enjoyable relationships. In therapy you will be supported to find more balance and to develop the aspects of your life which need more attention. Many young adults feel pressure to succeed outwardly and have sacrificed their inner peace. In therapy you will be encouraged to make your health your first priority. This does not happen overnight but progress can be made with intention and support. Financial stress may also be contributing to anxiety. Young adults are often struggling to get ahead or to keep up with peers. Being in a perpetual state of competition with others can take a toll on our wellbeing. In therapy you will find an antidote to it all - cooperation. Our first objective in therapy is to build a therapeutic alliance so that you feel supported in your efforts to grow and make progress. Becoming a new parent can also be one of life's more stressful (and rewarding) experiences. Many parents feel pressure to figure it out or to just be naturals at parenting. The reality for many parents is that they have insecurities, worries and fears in relation to their parenting and children. In therapy you can work through your feelings and thoughts so that you can become more confident in your relationship to your child and in your responsibility of being a parent. If you are feeling overwhelmed by school, work, or parenting then reaching out for help can be the first step towards building a life that you want to live. A life which is practical but also which nourishes your soul. |
