Pandemic Anxiety & LossRespond | React
The COVID-19 global pandemic has changed all of our lives in a very short period of time. It is a change that most of us did not expect and are adjusting to it on the fly. For many people this is a time of uncertainty, fear and disruption. Our daily routines have been altered and the rhythm of our days feel unfamiliar and odd. This is also a time when many people are experiencing job loss and reductions in income. This financial stress can burn our energy and lead to anxiety and fears when we wonder if we will be able to meet our responsibilities. You may also be a parent who is suddenly grappling with how to meet the needs of your children who are no longer attending school. During a time like this we have a choice to respond with pro-active choices that will contribute to our physical, mental and spiritual health. This is a time to put our physical and emotional health first. Of course this is easier said than done. If you would like increased support during this time, therapy can become a source of stability from which you can respond to this crisis with critical thinking, emotional intelligence and compassion. In therapy your fears and uncertainties can be shared in an environment of consistent support. Phone and video sessions are available. Reduced fees are also an option for those who have recently suffered job loss. If you are beginning to feel stuck, alone or isolated reaching out for help can be your response.
